The Summit’s second session is Renewable Fuels: Ushering in a New Era of Demand.As climate policies continue to evolve, the biofuels industry is undergoing significant changes, impacting grain and oilseed demand.Join Renewable Fuels Association President Geoff Cooper, CoverCress CEO Mike DeCamp and Tom Malecha, Senior Vice President of CGB Soybean Processing and President of North Dakota Soybean Processors as we explore the implications of this transformation on U.S. agriculture.

We are entering a new era on the farm as precision agriculture, autonomy, and AI-enabled data analysis allow today’s producers to achieve more with less. CLAY EDWARDS | SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM LEAD | CARGILL REGENCONNECT

Clay serves as the Sustainability Program Lead for Cargill Agriculture Supply Chain North America. Clay has worked for Cargill for 14 years and is responsible for the go to market farmer facing strategy and execution of Cargill RegenConnect in the United States. He is a former State FFA President and holds a degree in Agriculture Education from South Dakota State University. Clay is a 5th generation farmer/rancher where he has beef cattle, corn, soybeans, pumpkins, and alfalfa. Clay currently resides on a family farm in Central Illinois with his wife and 3 daughters.

COURTLAND KELLY | CARBON AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES SCIENCE LEAD | CORTEVA CARBON SOLUTIONS

Courtland is I a soil ecologist with expertise in regenerative agriculture, soil health practices and assessment, soil biology, dryland agriculture, and agronomy, serving as Carbon and Ecosystem Services Science Lead at Corteva Agriscience. She received her Ph.D. in Soil Ecology at Colorado State University and worked as a postdoctoral research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.

ALYSSA CHO, PHD | HEAD OF GROWER SUCCESS AND SUSTAINABLE AG | BAYER

Alyssa leads a team that is responsible for grower programs and ensuring growers have the technical support they need to be successful in adopting sustainable agricultural practices as they participate in the Bayer Carbon Program. Her passions lie in scaling sustainable agriculture and improving farmer outcomes.

Geoff serves as President and CEO of the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA), the leading national trade association for America’s ethanol producers. He is a prominent voice for the renewable fuels industry and represents its interests through engagement with the U.S. Congress, federal and state regulatory bodies, media, allied industries, and other key stakeholders worldwide. Prior to joining RFA in 2008, Geoff directed ethanol market development and regulatory activities for the National Corn Growers Association.

With more than thirty-five years of industry expertise, Tom is a distinguished leader in U.S. soybean processing. He serves as Senior Vice President of CGB’s soy processing division in addition to leading their expansion into the Northern Plains, building a new 42-million-bushel-per-year crush plant as a part of their NDPS LLC joint venture in Casselton, North Dakota.

With more than 30 years of experience and over $9 billion of value in successful M&A, capital raising and commercial finance transactions, Mike’s career has been dedicated to advancing innovation in agriculture where he now leads CoverCress Inc., a St. Louis-based agribusiness developing a novel, climate-smart rotational winter oilseed crop called CoverCress™. He is also the Board Chairperson for the 39 North AgTech Innovation District, a vibrant agribusiness/agrifood/plant science ecosytem that brings together people, resources, and facilities to grow St. Louis’ economy and global reputation.

Starting on his family's farm in southern Ohio and throughout his 21 years with John Deere, Than has been at the intersection of agricultural equipment, technology, and agronomy. He's held various strategy, business development and executive positions, including leading Deere's precision ag team in Germany and the See & Spray team in Sunnyvale, California. Than is now driving the precision upgrades business which is responsible for taking tech-based solutions to the install base of machines that are already in the field.

JENNIFER RALSTON PHD | GLOBAL SOYBEAN SEEDS & TRAITS PORTFOLIO MANAGER | BAYER CROP SCIENCE

Jennifer is a Weed Scientist by training with nearly 30 years of industry experience. In her 22 years, starting with Monsanto and now Bayer Crop Science, she’s held various roles in technology development, product management, sales leadership and strategy, including leading the market development team for Monsanto Brazil. In her current role, Jennifer is leading the strategy for the North American soybean business, focused on delivering high-performing products and innovative solutions for soybean growers.

JOE JENNINGS | FOUNDER & CEO OF DAITAAS HOLDINGS

Joe is a data science and machine learning expert with over twenty years of experience in the financial and technology sectors. He is the founder and CEO of Daitaas, a Memphis-based company that provides data analytics and artificial intelligence solutions to the agricultural industry.
